This work acknowledges not only mothers, but the women who love fiercely in ways that are seen and unseen, the friends, sisters, daughters, carers and guardians who offer their steadiness to those around them. It also honours those who long to mother, and those whose nurturing lives in devotion to community, creativity, and connection.
 
Originally born from a commission centred on feminine empowerment and magic, this piece evolved into something softer yet deeply rooted in resilience.
 
Pink peonies, chrysanthemums and roses bloom in layered abundance and are  long associated with devotion, endurance and heartfelt love. A spider  a symbol of creation, fate and feminine power, while ladybirds appear as gentle emblems of protection and luck.
